Were the World Mine

Whilst babysitting my nephew the other day at my sister's house, I had just finished the entirety of the 3 seasons of Parenthood available on Netflix, watched 2 episodes of Glee, and was in the mood for a good, unique musical. I had remembered my friend mentioning to me that I would enjoy this musical, and that it was on Netflix. I crossed my fingers and looked it up and voila, there it was. I had no idea what I was getting into when I began the movie, but I really enjoyed most of the music, and anything which is in Shakespearian language is A-OK with me. The Character of Timother was fantastic, his "screw everyone, I do what I want" attitude was encouraging, to say the least. The plot really didn't thicken all too much, like in Bare: A Pop Opera (a very similar musical which I shall most likely blog about in the future) but it was a nice pick-me-up after the heart-wrenching drama I had just finished watching. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is in the mood for a light and romantic musical (gay romance, mind you). Overall I thought it was a delightful musical with decent choreography and better-than-expected acting. I absolutely loved the voices of the actors as well. Interested? Go on Netflix and watch it, you won't regret it.
